Vote: 4-0-1 (abstention). Motion to appoint Greta Fisher as the Architectural <br />Historian passes. <br />B. NOMINATING BALLOT <br />a. Commissioner Canada referenced the By -Laws that a nomination by acclamation was <br />an option for establishing a new President. Legal Counsel DeRose clarified the <br />various was through which a new President could be established. Commissioner <br />Gelfman voiced concern that two Commission members were not present, and there <br />remains vacancies on the Commission. <br />Commissioner Canada made a motion to initiate a vote for President by <br />acclamation. Seconded by Commissioner Bonham. <br />Three in favor, two opposed. <br />Vote: 3-2. Motion to initiate a vote for President by acclamation passes. <br />b. Commissioner Canada made a motion to nominate Commissioner Molnar for <br />President. Seconded by Commissioner Bonham. <br />Two in favor, three opposed. <br />Vote: 2-3 Motion to nominate Commissioner Molnar to the position of President <br />fails. <br />c. Commissioner Molnar made a motion to nominate Michele Gelfman for the <br />position of President until the end of 2018. Seconded by Commissioner Bonham. <br />Four in favor, none opposed. • <br />Vote: 4-0-1 (one abstention). Motion to nominate Commissioner Gelfman for the <br />position of President passes. <br />d. Commissioner Molnar made a motion to nominate Commissioner Fisher for the <br />position of Secretary. Seconded by Commissioner Canada. <br />Four in favor, none opposed. <br />Vote: 4-0-0 (one abstention). Motion to nominate Commissioner Fisher for the <br />position of Secretary. <br />C. NEW BUSINESS — COMMITTEE CHAIR <br />a. President Gelfman appointed Commissioner Fisher the chair of the Assets <br />Disposition Committee. <br />D. NEW BUSINESS — WINDOW APPROVAL DISCUSSION <br />a. Commissioner Canada initiated a discussion regarding the creation of some sort of <br />resolution or document to work towards drafting some sort of comprehensive <br />structure for governing window applications. <br />i. Focus on specifications, not branding. <br />ii. Necessity for `deterioration beyond repair.' <br />b. President Gelfman encourages staff to create a rubric by the September meeting. <br />E. NEW BUSINESS — REFOREST SOUTH BEND <br />a. Commissioner Molnar discussed the initiative to plant trees in the tree lawns. The <br />goal is to plant 50 trees in Sunnymede and Near Northwest neighborhood, to be <br />22 <br />
