4. Traffic shall be monitored by flag men at all times during work hours. No construction equipment,
<br />vehicles, materials, supplies or temporary facilities shall be left unattended in the right-of-way of
<br />any street or left parked overnight.
<br />5. After the award of the contract and before beginning the work, the Contractor shall submit his
<br />proposed schedule of operations and maintenance of traffic plan for the review of the Engineer.
<br />The schedule of operations as reviewed by the Engineer shall be maintained at all times.
<br />6. Payment shall be made at the Unit Price as specified in the proposal as follows:

<br />WIRE #4 shall be 4-1/C, No. #4, THWH, Colored, Stranded Copper in Cable -Duct to be placed in
<br />a trench or conduit. All conduit shall be PVC Schedule 80, 2 -Inch. The cable shall be placed within
<br />the conduit with service to each streetlight.
<br />3.

<br />The cable shall consist of four (4) size No.4 AWG stranded copper wires. The color -coding of the
<br />insulation shall include one (1) black, one (1) white, one (1) red, and one (1) green.
<br />4.
<br />The cable shall be installed using the black wire for Load 1, the red wire for Load 2, the white wire
<br />for Neutral, and the green wire for Earth Ground.
<br />5.
<br />The Contractor shall arrange for Indiana Michigan (AEP) Power Company to provide electrical
<br />service. The service point shall consist of a Tesco Industrial Control Panel, South Bend
<br />Combination Cabinet, with foundation. Underground cable duct shall be supplied from the City's
<br />utility pole to the base of the Tesco Industrial Control Panel in accordance with South Bend
<br />standard detail. No measurement will be made of cable duct where it is part of the service point.
<br />6.
<br />Electrical wiring shall be continuous from the point of service to street light foundation and from
<br />street light foundation to street light foundation. Splices shall be made in access panel located at
<br />base of the light pole. Contractor shall replace the entire conduit and/or wiring cable from cabinet
<br />to street light foundation or from street light foundation to street light foundation that is cut or
<br />damaged during construction at no additional cost to the Owner.
<br />7.
<br />No connections using wire nuts shall be allowed.
<br />8.
<br />Connectors and Fittings shall not be measured or paid for directly, but shall be considered
<br />incidental to the project.
<br />9.
<br />The existing light boxes shall be removed and salvaged, and new boxes are to be installed.
<br />10.

<br />unit price as set forth in the proposal. One (1) lineal foot of wiring as stated in the proposal includes
