Greta Fisher
644 E. Monroe St.
South Bend, IN 46601
July 12, 2018
Historic Preservation Commission of
South Bend & St. Joseph County
227 W. Jefferson Blvd. Suite 1400 S.
South Bend, IN 46601
c/o Elicia Feasel, Historic Preservation Administrator
To Whom It May Concern:
I am writing request the continuation of my appointment as Architectural Historian. I believe that my
familiarity with the history of South Bend and historical resources available, my training and experience
in the field of architecture, and my personal commitment to historic houses make me uniquely qualified
to serve in this capacity.
In my limited time serving in the position, I have contributed to two active committees, and have been
nominated to chair the committee dealing with the Divestment of HPC Assets.
• My appreciation of historic structures has led me to find ways to be involved with them in both my
career and private life. The two years I spent managing Washington Hall, one of Notre Dame's core
campus buildings, taught me many lessons about integrating practicality with preservation. I have
renovated two historic houses, and I am currently the proud owner of an historic landmark in Edgewater
Place.
It is so fulfilling to serve the interests of our community and its rich heritage. I hope you will consider
allowing me to continue in the position.
Sincerely,
Greta Fisher
0
