The foundation is random coursed stone. Synthetic siding was added in 1998. The roof is pyramidal with gables. A " <br />front/side veranda is open with brick walls and piers, as well as round columns and a wide lintel. Most windows are 1 over 1 <br />with projecting cornices. Three oval windows (two on north face on each floor, one on the west face on the second floor) as well <br />as a round -arched window to the left of the main door, on the porch. The main door has a wide surround with projecting cornice <br />and a full upper light. Other notable details include fish -scale and straight -cut shingles in the gable ends of the cross gables <br />which also have wide returns at the eave line. There are eight small light windows in the gable ends. <br />
