Vinyl Sliding Windows: ThermaStar by Pella. <br />1. Factory -assembled windows with sash installed in frame. <br />2. Frame and Sash Material: Extruded, rigid polyvinylchloride (PVC) complying with AAMA <br />303, having minimum ignition temperature 824 degrees F. when tested in accordance with <br />ASTM D 1929. <br />Specifier Notes: Specify frame type. New construction frames have an integral vinyl fin on all four <br />sides with heat -fused mitered corners. New construction frames are also offered with integral vinyl fin <br />and brickmould profile J -channel on all four sides with mitered corners and can be used with vinyl, <br />aluminum, or steel siding. <br />Replacement frames (no fin) can be used in new block walls or as replacement windows in pocket <br />applications. <br />B. Frame: <br />1. Type: <br />a. Integral fin. <br />b. Integral fin with brick mold profile J -channel. <br />C. Block Frames (No Fin). <br />Specifier Notes: Specify overall frame depth. <br />2. Overall Frame Depth: <br />a. Integral Fin Frame: [2-11/16 inches for 1 -9/16 -inch wall depth]. <br />b. Block Frame: 2-11/16 inches. <br />3. Nominal Wall Thickness, Vinyl Members: 0.065 inch to 0.075 inch. <br />4. Frame Corners: <br />a. Mitered. <br />b. Heat -fused, fully welded corners. <br />5.
