Remaining repairs by July
-918-920 Leland -Hearing set for 2/14/2017
9 property site visits for environmental reviews.
On January 13, 2017, we attended a meeting held by Aaron Perri, the director of Parks
and Venues to discuss the Best Week Ever promotion scheduled for the last week of May
2017. This is a city-wide celebration to focus on getting folks in and out of South Bend to
take advantage of events and business that are here in South Bend. He mentioned to me
personally about offering walking tours all week. That will have to be discussed and
perhaps we could train a commissioner or two to be a docent?
I presented a Powerpoint program on the Historic Sites of Granger, Indiana to the
Granger Rotary on the 11 th. I will be speaking at a flooring workshop for Carla Bruni this
Saturday. She is the contractor who gave us all the tools through the ToolMade program
and is the director of the Evanston Rebuilding Center.
i
Steve Szaday
Preservation Specialist
