Ms. Parker will report all committee recommendations on October 17a'. 2P: Invited to a meeting with Building Commissioner (SBSJC), Chuck Bulot at the request of Executive Director, Feasel. Recent violations at historically designated properties were among the topics discussed (including the Taylor Street Firehouse and Tippecanoe Place). Expressed to the Building Commissioner that I believe there is additional Building Department authority and responsibility beyond his regular zoning tasks and specifically vested within the HPC enabling ordinance. I also raised the possibility of deputizing the HPC with his authority to issue stop work orders on his behalf. Mr. Bulot was receptive to this idea and will discuss it with Mr. Elliot Anderson (the Building Department's legal representative). 3P: Staff discussion over meeting with the Building Commissioner, legal strategy, departmental structure for enhanced enforcement privileges, etc... Discuss alternate concepts for the HPC office by rearranging furniture and fixtures to improve file access, privacy and efficiency. I assisted Mr. Szaday in moving cabinets, desks and equipment to satisfy the new plan. Mostly done — results offer MUCH improvement! 10/16/2016 6:30P: HPC Office. Measure file cabinet rails to fabricate missing pieces and accommodate hanging file folders. Vacuum office floor.
