HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION <br />PRESERVATION SPECIALIST REPORT <br />August 21, 2017 <br />Hello Commission! <br />Projects started without COAs/RMEs/Permits: <br />1164 LWE -Driveway and new steps <br />1236 LWE- new roof on rear barn <br />1417 E Wayne St- removal of tennis court with intent to construct fence <br />- - --- ---- --- 612-614 Carroll St=installation-of new windows "— - <br />Code Hearings: <br />127 Franklin Place -LL, 30 days to finish siding without civil penalties <br />518 S Michigan St -LL, $500 Civil Penalty - <br />939 Johnson (Hay Barn) -LL, hearing Tuesday 08/21/17 @ 1:30 <br />417 W Navarre -Chapin Place LHD, hearing Thursday 09/07/2017 @ 1:30 <br />We had 35 folks join us for the August First Friday West Washington Tour. <br />We also had 12 new ND graduate students for a private Architectural Tour and <br />32 SBCSC primary teachers for a private tour as well. <br />12 environmental reviews for rapid rehousing or demolitions since last meeting. <br />Just a follow up to the schoolhouse that was torn down at Ironwood and Jackson, the <br />designation was done by Resolution not Ordinance, so it was never officially a locally <br />designated landmark. <br />Steve Szaday <br />Preservation Specialist <br />
