November 21, 2016 <br />RE: 655 River Ave -Edgewater LHD <br />I have met with Carl Brunson the owner of 655 River several times over the last <br />12 months and have even appeared with him at code hearings in the past. Mr. Brunson <br />had quite a repair list from Code and a deadline. I am happy to report that 70% of the <br />cosmetic list and 90% of the structural concerns have been attended to and have been <br />done so in accordance with the standards and guidelines of the Edgewater Local Historic <br />District. <br />The proposed addition would be located at the southwest corner of the structure. <br />There were foundation issues that were repaired last year as a result of plumbing work <br />that was done in the crawlspace under the west side of the house. Planning ahead Mr. <br />Brunson left a capped stub for an additional drain for this future addition when he <br />performed the repairs. The footer in this area had been reinforced during the time of the <br />repair and should be able to hold the additional weight. This area would connect onto the <br />slightly pitched roof which already exists. <br />Steve Szaday <br />Preservation Specialist <br />
