Indiana Bicentennial — Update on HPC directed projects. Staff recognized Elizabeth <br />Hertel for her extra volunteer efforts including assisting with daily office duties and <br />Geocache development. <br />4. Deputy Director Search — Discussion. To expedite the process, Commission <br />President and committee chair will meet with staff to select interview candidates; all <br />applications are available at HPC office for Commission review. A final decision will be <br />approved by the Commission board but the process to interview is an administrative task. <br />V. OLD BUSINESS —None. <br />VI. NEW BUSINESS — <br />A. Inactive Zoning Bills — On a motion by Michele Gelfman with a second by Brandon <br />Anderson to rescind the proposed bills 60-94, 61-94, 91-94, 104-94. Vote: 5 — 0 Unanimous. <br />B. 803 W Washington — On January 25, 2016, Indiana Landmarks, owner of the Kizer house at <br />803 West Washington in South Bend, petitioned this body to explore local designation for that <br />property. The preliminary staff report this evening provides supporting evidence to entertain that <br />process. Tim Klusczinski moves to initiate the formal landmark designation procedure by <br />sending this matter to the HPC Landmarks Committee for further review and recommendation in <br />anticipation of first reading with a second by Tom Gordon. Vote: 5 — 0 Unanimous. <br />
