All 15 building contractors and excavators who inspected the site <br />say the garagelcarriage house is now a serious liability and safety threat, given its unstable condi- <br />tion, collapsing roof, and crumbling, bowed brick/stone walls. Steve, the commission's field evalu- <br />ator, who spoke with us, also said he had inspected it and believes it is unstable and likely unsafe. <br />We sent our check for the COA application fee of $20.00 by overnight "express mail," last Friday, so <br />you should already have it. It requires a signature for delivery. <br />Many thanks to commission members, especially Director Elicia Feasel, field -evaluator Steve, and <br />others who consulted with us, by phone, throughout last week. We are grateful. Thank you all, and <br />bless you for your volunteering to help our town remain beautiful and historic. <br />Contact Info: Please don't mail us at South Bend address.
