Permitted <br />Replace deteriorated doors, windows, sills, shutters, etc. with materials which match the original as closely as <br />possible. A special effort should be made to match the size and style of the window and door openings, so that the <br />overall appearance of the structure is not altered. Install metal storm windows and doors which have been painted, <br />anodized, or coated to match the trim. <br />Prohibited <br />Do not attach or use metal, vinyl or fiber glass awnings nor hoods. Do not attach exterior shutters to a house that <br />did not have shutters originally unless approved in writing by the Historic Preservation Commission. <br />STAFF RECOMMENDATION: Staff recommends approval of all applications items and recommends that <br />Preservation Specialist be made aware when siding removal begins. <br />Elicia Feasel <br />Executive Director <br />
