Special Meeting of the Historic Presservation Commission — Historic Landmarks Committee: <br />Further Review for Local Landmark Recommendation <br />Kizer House — 803 West Washington <br />• The Historic Landmarks Committee, in accordance with Open Door Policy met on Tuesday April <br />12"', 2016 at noon. <br />• Quorum was sustained as 5 committee members were present. Members in attendance <br />included: <br />-Kevin Buccellato (committee chair) <br />- Elizabeth Hertel <br />- Jennifer Parker <br />- Timothy Klusczinski <br />-Mike Voll <br />• 3 Motions were made and voted upon: <br />o Motion 1: Corroborate the rating of the Kizer House as "Outstanding" as listed in the <br />2005 City of South Bend Sites and Structures Inventory. <br />Motion 1 passed unanimously with a (5 -0) vote. <br />o Motion 2: Favorable Recommendation to the Historic Preservation Commission (as a <br />whole) That the Kizer House be approved for the Second Reading. <br />Recommendation based on 3 criteria: <br />• Historic and Cultural Significance <br />• Educational Value <br />• Suitability for preservation <br />Motion 2 passed unanimously with a (5 -0) vote. <br />o Motion 3: Consent for HPC staff to reformat the "Local Historical Qualifications Proposal <br />for the Kizer House" as presented to correspond with similar historical Landmark <br />reports. <br />Motion 3 passed unanimously with a (5 -0) vote. <br />
