Historic Preservation Commission of South Bend & St. Joseph County <br />Special Meeting - 26 October 2015 <br />Location: The History Museum (Conference Room B) <br />I. CALL TO ORDER, ROLL CALL <br />The Special Meeting was called to order by President Timothy Klusczinski at 14:20. - <br />t , <br />Role was called and the Commissioners present were: Kevin Buccellato, Secretary Elizabeth Hertel, <br />President Timothy Klusczinski, Michele Gelfman, Brandon Anderson, Vice President Thomas <br />Gordon, and Treasurer Michael Voll. Quorum was sustained with seven commissioners in <br />attendance. No members of the public were present. <br />Chair entertained a motion to approved the Agenda. Motion was made by Commissioner Anderson. <br />Seconded.by Commissioner Hertel. All in favor. None opposed. <br />II. ' COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />A. EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR SELECTION COMMITTEE ' <br />Commissioner Gelfman reported that the Executive Director Selection Committee recommended <br />that Elicia Feasel be offered the position of HPC Executive Director. Commissioner Gelfman also <br />noted that the Commission should anticipate a future discussion with Ms. Feasel regarding salary <br />level. <br />III. NEW BUSINESS <br />A. EVALUATE DIRECTOR SELECTION TIME TABLE <br />President Klusczinski explained that since the Commission is now holding a special meeting to <br />consider the selection of the Executive Director, there would be a need to discontinue the <br />previously adopted time table. Commissioner Gelfman moved to discontinue the current Director <br />Search timetable, second by Commissioner Anderson. Discussion clarified that the new position <br />starts in January 2016 but this would still allow a committee to begin a search to fill the position <br />of Deputy Director. Motion carried 7-0 <br />B. FINALIZE SELECTION OF EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR <br />President Klusczinski addressed all members as Commissioner and sponsored the following <br />resolution: "Fellow Commisioners, In light of the Selection Committee's recommendation, I <br />hereby endorse and petition this body to confirm Elicia Feasel; having met all qualifications and <br />having served this agency with honor and distinction to be named as the next Executive Director <br />of the Historic Preservation Commission of South Bend and St. Joseph County, effective 2016 — <br />and urge your full and unanimous support." Seconded by Commissioner Gordon. Discussion <br />included questions regarding an interim status and it was clarified that there could not be an <br />"Interim Director" with a Director in place, however the President can appoint the future Director <br />to be included in the search for a Deputy Director. All in favor, none opposed. Resolution <br />adopted unanimously 7-0. <br />
