12 January Prepared for City Cemetery meeting at the Martin Luther King Center at 4:00. <br />Interesting meeting. Anne Minnick wants research on Lincoln Park neighborhood; Chris Huff is <br />still upset about the barn, shutters 50106 Bittersweet from December. Told him that I would <br />research the issue and e-mail him Steve's report and photographs. <br />13 January Prepared Staff report on 14309 Adams Road/Granger Paths for HPC January <br />meeting. Followed up with e-mail to Chris Huff on his issues. <br />14 January Researched Center township Cemetery listed on our webpage for Toni Cook. <br />Have no idea where that dune from as there are no records for a Cemetery by that name much <br />less one that was landmarked. Researched the boundaries of the proposed TIF District off of Old <br />Cleveland Road with Area Plan to see if it included our landmarks (Miller Farm). It doesn't. John <br />Oxian contacted the South Bend Tribune, Amanda Gray, asserting that it did. Sold a landmark <br />plaque to Suzanne Krill of 62290 Miami; also provided her with information on die property along <br />with sources for beams and trusses for her barn and craftsmen. <br />15 January Responded to Keith Micinski inquiry on the Locust Road Land mark that he is <br />interested in purchasing at auction. Provided Steve Szaday with Wilson Brothers file for his onsite <br />visit to the site. Researched Lincoln Park, Staff came up with Lincoln Plaza and Lincoln Manor <br />that have proximity to Ryer Park and Voorde Park. Prepared for Civic Theatre meeting. <br />16 January Meeting with Chuck Gessert and Mark Copenhaver-Abrams of the South Bend <br />Civic Theatre concerning landmarking the Civic Theatre. They will present the information and <br />the Group B Standards to their Board. Gave them information they requested on the house at <br />215 W. Madison and FireHouse #6 along with Bill Latoza's contact information. Attended the <br />meeting on City Cemetery presented by Jonathon Geels. Scott Ford and members of DCI and <br />Public Works and Parks were also there. Responded to Clay Township Derrick DeCraene's, <br />clatiq)ark@att..net ,phone inquiry concerning the Ullery and Tutt Cemeteries giving him link to <br />DHPA Cemetery site and also looped Steve Szaday and Jonathon Geels into the e-mail as <br />resources for Derrick. Mailed out Commissioner packets and Staff report of Troyer Group. <br />19 January Office Closed for Martin Luther King Day. <br />20 January Meeting with Krista Bailey and Elicia concerning HPC and die Office of <br />sustainability goals for Krista's meeting with Mayor Pete. Reconciled Location report and turned <br />in results to Kathy Sobecki. Answered inquiries on 539 Riverside in River Bend; Fist Source is <br />hiring firm to finish exterior work. <br />21 January Researched "Lincoln Park" neighborhood homes. This is a DCI working tide for <br />some urban renewal in area bounded by LWW, Oak, Allen and Cushing. Keeping a close eye on <br />the Dean Building and in contact with Randy Wilkerson in Code. <br />
