Director's Report <br />February 2015 <br />26 January Meeting prep. Leeper Park follow up with Brent Thompson. Crews are just <br />pruning trees and clearing storm damaged fallen tree limbs. Provided Margaret Fosmoe with <br />research on Building 84 complex. HPC meeting. <br />27 January Follow up with Steve Szaday on 539 Riverside Drive and property manager hired <br />by First Source. Prepared and mailed approved COA to Q. Cunningham for Granger Paths. <br />Conversations with Annette Rogers on 202 Bartlett 708 404 3093. Meeting with Jeremy Roschyk, <br />PE with CHA about concepts for Northside Blvd. river walk and sewer work along the WPA walls. <br />He also has been in contact with GloryJune Griefl: <br />28 January Jerid Wireman inquired about a front yard fence on Navarre. Phone discussion <br />with John Martinez concerning Adam Heet's proposal for Boy Scout troop restoration of the <br />limestone retaining wall around the "stage" area in Leeper Park East. Discussed the <br />Memorial/Madison School/Gary Gilot's proposals for Leeper Park west. They are still <br />considering a "labyrinth" style replacement for Kessler's formal garden on the North/South axis <br />and a vegetable garden on the far west side. Parks is less than enthusiastic because of possible <br />vandalism using any loose paving materials. <br />29 January Jennifer Rozmaryanski from Parks inquired about electronic signage near the <br />Tennis Center in Leeper Park West and what would need to be submitted to the Commission for <br />approval. E-mailed her responses, links to webpage and attachment to COA deadlines and <br />meeting dates. Cole Hay stopped by inquiring about local landmark 607 Leland that Code told <br />him was scheduled for demolition. He also gave HPC die blue prints for the Hay family homes on <br />1719 N. College and 1830 Kessler. The Kessler house was the last one designed by H.R. Stapp. <br />Arranged for Staff to meeting with St. Joe County new IT person, Ian Alford on 13 February at <br />10:00. E-mailed 2014 HPC Report to Andrew Kostielney, County Commissioners' President. <br />30 January Turned in fees and calculated January spreadsheets. Contacted Randy Wilkerson <br />to set up meeting to develop protocols to prevent houses in districts or landmarks from going on <br />demolition bid lists prior to HPC approval of a COA. Several issues have come up recently, <br />notably in Taylor's Field and with 607 Leland. <br />2 February COA deadline extended as Office didn't open until afternoon because of weather. <br />Reviewed demolitions for DCI's Liz Maradik that will require COAs from the Commission. <br />There were 4: 1631 LWW, 327 W. Madison (approved COA2014-0414), 315 W. Madsion, 213 <br />South. <br />3 February Accepted COA application for 618 Park. Wrote Staff Report. Staff attended The <br />Convention and Visitor's Bureau Partners luncheon at the Gillespie Center. Attended the 5:30 <br />City Cemetery presentation at the Charles Martin Center. <br />
