29 August -2 September Vacation Days and Labor Day Holiday <br />3 September Catch up paper work from time off. 106 Review for Traffic Signals Moderization. <br />4 September Continued 106 Review for Traffic Signals. NICH Volunteer Appreciation <br />Luncheon. Prepared Agenda. Code meeting for 721 LWE. No owner. Legal should be posted <br />and return to meeting later in September. Announced that Ambassadors for Christ had applied <br />for a COA to replace the roof. <br />5 September High humidity and constant copy jams with new copier. Had IT, Adams Remco <br />and Maintenance in to resolve the problem among others. Meeting with Gary Gilot, Deb Martin, <br />Principal of Madison School, Kara Kelly from the Mayor's Office, Mike Dyszkiewicz from Parks <br />and Paul Me Minn from Recreation to discuss ideas for the school children's projects in Leeper <br />Park. Flowers to recreate the central formal garden feature in Leeper Park west, a more <br />aesthetically appealing fence around die Duck Pond and veggies along the far west boarder of <br />Leeper Park that is not developed in Kessler's Plan. <br />8 September Northern Indiana Center for History Finance Committee meeting. Learned that <br />they are contemplating re -naming it the History Museum. <br />9 September Met with Asplundh representative in die East Wayne District to determine if the <br />trees being removed in the Utility Easement required COAs. They five trees were all "volunteers" <br />and growing into the electrical lines. Luncheon meeting with Kelly Sanford, St. Joseph County <br />Grant Resource person with Elicia to discuss grant opportunities and how her Office would be able <br />to assist us in identifying and applying for grants. Gave Local Districts tour to "The Young <br />Professionals" on Transpo buses provided by the Chamber of Commerce. Tour was between <br />5:30-7:30. <br />10 September Researched Rail Road History for Walt Temple at 1702 Lincoln Way West so he <br />could recycle rails buried in his back yard area. Researched SB150 timeline for Laura Moran <br />Walton. Reconciled Location Report with Office records. <br />11 September Elicia and I attended the resurrected Green Ribbon Committee meeting at 3:30 at <br />the Palais Royal. Next meeting will be October 9 at the Four Winds Ball Park. We are on die <br />Smart Resource Use Committee. Researched 615 W. Colfax: Heptagon House from post by the <br />Hickey Family. Should consider this house for landmarking. It is in the West Washington - <br />National Register District. <br />12 September Vacation Day. <br />
