September 2014 <br />Director's Report <br />19 August Sent all Commissioners a copy of HPC Budget letter for 2014-2015. A lot of noise <br />about Howard Park. Received e-mail from Phil St. Claire clarifying the Parks position on the use <br />of a portion of Howard Park for development. Since Transpo hasn't decided on a plan or a <br />developer, the Parks Department can't make any decisions until that is decided. Phil also noted <br />that the process would involve public meetings and input before the Parks Board would make a <br />decision. R&R Excavations came to the Office for a copy of the COA issued in February 2014 for <br />the demolition of 701 LWE. Phone call from Gary Gilot to set up a meeting either on the 5 or 8 <br />September about the proposed Madison School garden project in Leeper Park West. <br />20 August Routine Office Work. Studied Street Light File. Review research on the Leeper <br />Park landscape. The Hickeys, John and Karen, came to the Office at 4:00. <br />21 August Spoke to a realtor about an interested party in the Queen Anne Inn that would like <br />to use it for Office Space. Sent information to him, <br />22 August Spoke with Larry Meteiver about the Standard and Guidelines for the Morris and <br />Palais new restaurant will be going in at the Vine Location. Made copies of the Design Review <br />guidelines for the Central Business District for Larry. Returned Street Light folder. RME-COA <br />for 415 LaMonte to repair concrete porch. Meeting at 10:00 at NICH with Derek Dieter, Elicia <br />Feasel, Brandon Anderson, Ron Wilson, Shawn Delahanty, Marilyn Thompson, Kara Kelly, and <br />Travis Childs for SB150 website and interactive timeline. <br />23 August Districts Bus Tour with about 25 people. 9-11 am <br />25 August Routine Office work. Organized Location Reports for General Fund and Special <br />Gifts. Inquiry to Paul South about Park View lamppost. E-mailed Kathy Polnanski about the <br />deteriorating condition Morey Lambert House at 322 W. Washington. Reviewed 2015 Budget. <br />26 August Reviewed project proposed at 916 Riverside on site with owner. Presented Minutes <br />and Intern Certificates to David Steinhauer for signature. On-site review of vacant house at 202 <br />Bartlett, sent letter with photographs to PNC Bank and copied Code. Spoke with Sue Solmos <br />about the Realtor for die Morey House statement that she wouldn't know the name of die bank <br />holding the mortgage until the addendum is signed. Sue said the Realtor was lying and I could get <br />that information from the Recorder's Office. <br />27 August COA Application for 532 S. St. Joseph. Routine Office work. <br />28 August Staff Report for 532 S. St. Joseph. Showed Elicia how to submit fees to Auditors. <br />
