South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - October 3, 1997 <br />4. COMMUNICATIONS <br />There were no Communications. THERE WERE NO COMMUNICATIONS <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />a. Commission approval requested for <br />Certificate of Waiver in connection with <br />the Rental Rehab Loan Program for <br />property located at 445 S. Meade. <br />(Timothy D. Hancz) <br />Mrs. Kolata stated that this Certificate of <br />Waiver forgives $1,700 as of March 31, <br />1997. This Certificate of Waiver was <br />tabled at the last meeting and Ms. Ligon of <br />the Bureau of Housing was asked to <br />prepare a memorandum addressed to the <br />Commission regarding this property. <br />Ms.Ligon has provided that memorandum <br />stating that an inspection of 445 S. Meade <br />was completed on July 22, 1997. Ms. <br />Ligon also noted that Code Enforcement <br />has no open violations for this property. <br />She also stated that no Waivers were <br />granted to Timothy D. Hancz in 1993, <br />1994, 1995 and 1996 because the property <br />did not pass the full -home inspection <br />during those four years. <br />Ms. Schwartz asked Ms. Ligon if she <br />knows what the inspection violations were <br />that prevented the Waivers from being <br />granted in 1993, 1994, 1995 and 1996. <br />Ms. Ligon stated that a full -home <br />inspection was conducted each year which <br />determined that the house had several <br />repairs that needed to be completed in <br />order for a waiver to be granted. <br />H:\IIOME\CPHIPPS\WPDATA\COMMSN\100397.MIN -3- <br />
