Director's Report December 2014 18 November Prepared and mailed all approved COAs. Took check to Dan Berry's Office for car insurance. Sent it to Auditor's Office on 27 October, received call today that Pekin Insurance was cancelling the policy. Another long, frantic phone call from Reese Dieter about 611 E. Haney. Referred him to Notre Dame Law School for possible legal assistance. Responded to e- mails from Joan Downs concerning homes on Leland referred her to Mark Lyons. Responded to inquiry from Episcopal Church about stained glass experts. 19 November Called Reese Dieter with other resources: Neighborhood Resources and South Bend Heritage. Staff attended the Visit South Bend Mishawaka luncheon. Elicia and I trimmed HPC Christmas tree at NICH. Responded to Sheila Redding about Landmarking. 20 November Attended Code hearing for 1408 Elwood-Drewry's NR complex and 209 Bronson for Sheila Odem. Attending Green Ribbon Smart Resources meeting. Presnted Treasurer's Report at BSSB meeting 4:30-6:00 21 November Elicia and I attended the County's Diversity and And Harassment Training. Followed up on Code issues with Randy Wilkerson on 611 E. Haney and 417 W. Navarre. Set Calendar for 2015 and reservation for Room 1308. Lory Timmer is sending 2015 City Agreement in the Intra. Office mail. Pam Meyers responded that the Burke Building is now secure and that all inquiries must go though her. Routine Office work. 24-1 December Vacation Days and Thanksgiving. 2 December Caught up paper work from time off. 11 Lead Hazard 106 Reviews. Clarified that the Contract with City is for $25,000.00 with the additional $5,000.00 coming in the summer months from CDBG. Began Staff reports for the December meeting. Followed up with CJ Cunningham from the Troyer Group about the meeting with SHPO and INDOT for next phase of the Granger Paths. Contacted. Commissioner Voll about the Redding property as a potential landmark. Staff does not feel that it has any architectural integrity but it is associated with the historic Coquillard Family. 3 December Continued to work on Staff Reports. Set Agenda for December. Followed up with an inquiry by Chris Waidner of Troyer about what is left of a bench at Madison and Marion for the conversion of those streets to two way traffic. Onsite visits to 202 Bartlett, garage door is ajar, 307 Lamonte to check on roofing material and the relic of rocks at Marion and Madison. Follow up with Randy Wilkerson of Code on 1408 Elwood.
