9 January Responded to Kurt Garner's request for contact information at the new <br />Silver Hawks team store. DHPA would like additional photographs of the interior now <br />that it has been adaptively re -used as a retail outlet. Follow up with Cheryl Pluta in <br />Purchasing with back orders from 2012—especially the camera ordered in November. <br />Year end Location reports became available late in the day. <br />10 January Reconciled Location Reports followed up on old Purchase Orders that <br />needed to be amended. Set up appointment to review the new Special Gifts 4103 account <br />and which balances need to be carried forward. Worked on creating Excel spread sheets <br />for Environmental/106 Reviews and Location Reports. PALS meeting with Elicia and Mik <br />and ++++at Office. <br />11 January Payroll. RME COA for 723 Park Avenue. This had been an on-going <br />discussion between the Lydens, HPC and AJ Construction as to what type of shingle would <br />be used for the re -roof. Patrick eventually decided on replacing with the same style of <br />asphalt shingle from the CertainTeed Landmark collection. Another meeting with Mik on <br />the PALS website/Facebook page. Turned in two 106 Reviews to Community Investment. <br />Researched "Smoke's Tavern" for Andy Beckman at Studebaker Museum. <br />14 January COA deadline for 28 January meeting. Met with Kathleen Sobecki on the <br />4103 account and turned in required paperwork to carry forward $2,837.34. Meeting with <br />,Jeanne Quickery on Health care benefits; followed up with Jennifer Brown at Nationwide <br />on transfer from Hoosier Start program. Drafted Letter of Support for Hotel Motel Tax <br />Grant for Northern Indiana Center for History central clearing house for the tours. <br />15 January Researched 106 Review of Verizon cell tower off of Breman Highway and <br />New Road. Researched W-9 need for projects. Researched Smokes Tavern for Andy <br />Beckman from Studebaker Museum which was located at 434 Chapin and then at 513 N. <br />Hill. This was for a black history project. Networked at Green Drinks. <br />16 January On-site to Woodland and 63907 SR331 which is a local landmark. <br />Determined that the tower will not have an adverse impact on the landmark. Also <br />evaluated landmarked school house on Ironwood with photographs and the Country Bake <br />Shop. Followed up with NDU about the Preservation Trades Program. Worked out some <br />Location Report issues with Kathleen Sobecki in the Auditor's Office. <br />17 January Provided research for Dana Grove of Historic New Carlisle on Harmony <br />Church and Cemetery. Interviewed two Interns with Elicia for the Spring Semester <br />Projects. Prepared information for the Micro group at NDU who will be analyzing HPC <br />proposed projects for preservation trades, tours and eventual revolving loan funds. <br />18 January Tracked down W-9 forms for Elicia's presentations in order to sell the <br />survey books to retirements homes. It is also needed for Catherine's tour groups in some <br />instances. General Office work. <br />21 January OFFICE CLOSED: MARTIN LUTHER KING DAY <br />
