The walls are covered with.wide aluminum siding. The Gambrel roof has a frill shed dormer <br />across the front both with asphalt shingles. There is a full length wood front porch with wood posts, railings and <br />balustrades. The windows are 6/1 double hung. four front windows have shutters, and two center windows of small <br />6 panes each in the second storey. The storm door is metal with 12 liter. There is a one stall wood garage with <br />clipped gable and swinging double leaf wood doors and a side wood service door with single glass upper pane. <br />ALTERATIONS: The Aluminum siding covers the original wood shingles. The concrete steps were replaced in <br />August 1985, the storm door in October, 1945 Nine windows were replaced writh COA 1990-0613. The porch was <br />restored with COA 2004-06048. The roof is a replacement. <br />APPLICATION ITEMS: Frame in for new overhead door 8' wide by 7' tall. Install new sercnce door. <br />DESCRIPTION OF PROJECT: The Krugs have just finished liaving the garage straightened and <br />resting on its fbit idation. They propose to replace the original deteriorating swing doors with a single <br />metal garage door with windows. This door will have raised panels with the windows at the top. This <br />door will have an automatic door opener feature.:Please see Lowes sheet. Brick structures have stone sills and brick lintels; masonry <br />block structures have masonry sills and lintels.: In some cases where aluminum siding has been applied window <br />trim has been covered. About half of the structures in the district have aluminum storm windows, the other half <br />wood storm windows. _ <br />Required <br />Original windows and doors including sash, lintels; sills, shutters, decorative glass, pediments, hoods, and hardware <br />shall be retained or when deteriorated beyond repair, replaced with duplicates of the existing or original. <br />Recommended - <br />Wood frame storm windows and doors, painted to match the existing or original, should tic used blit should riot_ ry <br />damage existing frames and should be removable in the future. If new sash and doors -are used, the existing or <br />original materials. design, acid hardware sliould be used. When metal storm doors arc used, they should be painted _ <br />anodized or coated to match the existing.
