Director's Report May, 2012 17 April Prepared approved COAs for mailing. Attended Code meeting for 519 S. St Joseph Street in Taylor's Field LHD. Code violations and fines for 12' years and now the house is falling to pieces. John Roxy ordered not to continue work on the house as the demolition order revokes building permits. Andre Gammage ordered a 24 April interior inspection at 10:00 a.m. 18 April Attended the Vacant and Abandoned Housing Task Force *meeting at 1:30. The main thrust of the discussion was about utilizing Land Banks. 19 April • Updated Kurt Garner on the status of the W. LaSalle District. Contacted Catherine Topple on 519 and 5191h South St Joseph that the Stable is owned by John Roxy, but the house is owned by Mark McDonald. 20 April Worked on Annual CLG Report General Office work and Payroll. Arranged to meet with Timothy Klusczinski at 710 N. St Joseph to approve in-kind work on exterior of house we just purchased. Notified Derek Dieter that there was evidence of a squatter on the Lafayette Porch of the AFC Church, local landmark Received approved drafts for Larry to Mr. Gonzalez and the Acunas. 23 April Spent half the day organizing a meeting with CVB, Mayor's Office, Chamber of Commerce, HPC and Indiana Landmarks for Jan Shupert Arick of Lincoln Highway for May 2 at 11:00. Repsonded to CBRE/Bradley Mary Wilkom's inquiry on 803 W. Washington. Sent e-mail to Commissioners for 2011 Educational Activities for the CLG Report. 24 April - Continued to compile information for CLG Report and to organize at date and time and place for this meeting that Jan wanted organized. 25 April Obtained hard copy of Codified St Joseph County Ordinance Book; copied HP Ordinance for CLG Report 26 April Met with Karen Ainsley concerning Memorial Hospital and NNRO suggestions for River Bend and N. St Joseph Street. Identified problem properties and streetscape issues that neighborhood has with Memorial 27 April Steve and I met with Dietz at 1031 Jefferson which is a local landmark. The exterior is in need of repairs especially with the interior gutters and soffit issues causing the trim to deteriorate. Said that 2012 was the year for exterior repairs, had been making bases for columns and is purchasing Abbatron from store in Elkhart Had shown signs of repair work around side door and replacement of wood siding with cedar. - 30 April Personal Day
