Receivership was mentioned briefly for vacant buildings. Confirmed travel arrangements with Delta to Norfolk conference in July. Interview <br />with WNIT with Gordy Young on Tours. Supervised Union Station research for Brian <br />Sutter and Eric Fein from John Adams H.S. Contacted Elizabeth via voice mail and e-mail <br />of 717 Forest about the power washing of her house and the lack of lead abatement <br />reported by Steve Szaday via Wayne Doolittle and others. Met with Joseph Sima and <br />accepted his COA application for fence at 1019 Riverside. Spoke with Robert MillerOf 344 <br />Sunnyside about a change to his COA from a pergola to retractable awning. <br />5 June Met with Elizabeth Adey and issued an RME for a wood fence replacement that we <br />had discussed several months earlier. Received voice mails from Elizabeth of 717 Forest at <br />a conference in Hawaii, assured me that neighbors were watching these painters who had <br />assured her that they would follow the lead abatement practices. She had contacted her <br />neighbors across the street to keep an eye on these guys who were now vacuuming the <br />paint chips and putting down the plastic. Contacted Marc Nelson of the Health <br />Department who was sending people out to inspect. On site photographs of 1019 Riverside <br />for COA and 304 Navarre for Code violations. Received phone call from Joan D -K at <br />4:50 about new window replacements at 802 Leland. Contacted the Ryna Management <br />Company 312 265 8398 informing them of the work and the lack of building permits and <br />COA approvals. E-mailed Mark Lyons and Becky Neese in the Building Department. <br />6 June County server crashed and took GroupWise e-mail with it. Set up an alternate <br />account: lhncI973@att.net and was able to transfer the mailbox too. Doug Turnoek came <br />in for an RME for a roof. Former HPC Commissioner Diane Wrobbles called about her <br />landmark in German township; said Steve Szaday left his card. She is still working on the <br />house and trying for FHA financing to finish the work. Received the May Location report <br />and balanced to it. Arranged for Staff to meet with Ryan Anderson (708 494-7926) about <br />the windows at 802 Leland on Wednesday at 11:00. The good news is that they didn't <br />dispose of the windows. <br />7 June More drama at 322 W. Marion -this time about an in ground pool -no building <br />permit. Cathy Emmel (269 695-3844) neighbor called HPC and the Building Department <br />to complain. (She also called Larry Meteiver and Marcia Qualls about a parking issue.) <br />Building Department red tagged the project. Jason Dobosiewicz came in claiming he <br />didn't realize he needed a Building permit or COA. Contacted Larry Meteiver since the <br />Chapin Park Standards are silent on "swimming pools". Larry opined that it is not an HPG <br />
