HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION . <br />PRESERVATION SPECIALIST REPORT <br />July 16, 2012 <br />Since our last meeting, we have continued with the reports on the county <br />landmarks We visited and surveyed. It is our intention to have these",completed and ready <br />to mail by Monday the 23`d of July. There has been an alarming number of code related <br />;- violations in,ihe 10 <br />tftee,weeks. We have recorded many instances of prose -ties just <br />simply fallink'apaWA the seams. Due to the high temperatures aid lack o€Afff,.most <br />hkwi ns ­are riot an issue rather the conditions "of houses. Iri particular the poor condition of <br />gutters and.soffits several in disrepair or simply falling down. <br />On a happier note, the "Pitch Your Plan" finals for the State Theater presentation <br />was very successful and subsequent winners announced. The new owner plans on <br />reviewing all of the entries and going forth with a plan of his own. He is in town this <br />week and I expect to see a rough drawing of his intentions.
