Since it's an in-kind repair and maintenance issue that will not <br />affect the appearance of the bridge, I opined that there shouldn't be any delays with the <br />project. Reviewed year end location report for accuracy and found two areas for <br />correction. <br />18 January Continued to address the year end location report and met with Kathy <br />Sobecki to make the necessary corrections. Composed and submitted the carry forward <br />amounts in the Special Gifts Account which now total $13,778.75. Worked with <br />Auditor's Office and Pam Meyer of Community and Economic Development to have the <br />HPC's $25,000.00 check for 2011 sent to the Auditor's Department. Pam thought that <br />the change in administration and personnel allowed it to fall through the cracks. <br />Followed up on Local Landmark Fire Station #4 for Eric Boyd with Catherine Topple; <br />demolition order is still in place but she will work with him so can secure the necessary <br />permits from the Building Department. She will keep HPC advised. Participated in the <br />BSSB meeting at 5:30 and presented Treasurer's Report. <br />19 January Compiled 2011 statistics and sent to Commissioners. Finished draft of the <br />Sons of Israel Staff Report for Monday's meeting. Sent out email to HPC <br />Commissioners to verify quorum for 23 January. Returned Frank Hurdis' phone call <br />concerning a phone call conversation that he had with John Strauss about Marquette. <br />John was on a fact finding mission, said they had asbestos abatement money and once the <br />asbestos was out the school would be demolished. What about the Cassaday collection? <br />Marquette is 35 in line at the DHPA and won't be reviewed until October. Interim <br />Protection runs out in early April. <br />20 January Meeting with Greg Kil with Elicia about the Notre Dame Institute for <br />Latino Studies plans for the adaptive reuse of the Hansel Center which is a National <br />Register site but not a local landmark. The exterior will not change except for the <br />removal of the awning which will reveal the della Robia "Bambino" over the entrance <br />and the re -pointing brick work and painting of the fence. The outdated handicap <br />accessible ramp on the west will be brought up to current standards and an east side <br />entrance will be enhanced. Most of the work will be reconfiguring the interior for <br />conference rooms, galleries and the print shop. Brought Marcia Qualls up to speed on <br />what the Staff had determined with the East Wayne Street Entrance lights. Marcia said <br />2 <br />
