Attended Common Council meeting and presented Ordinance for <br />second reading. Did not stay for the entire meeting which ended after 1:00 am. <br />27 March Contacted Chris Murphy, president of First Source on Southhold <br />Restoration Clock from American Trust installed in atrium of Double Tree and Bank. <br />Secretary Jill said that she would have Chris or Doug Way contact me as to ownership and <br />proposed plan to secure the monument during Double Tree's remodeling projects. Dan <br />Hay applied for RME for 1323 E. Wayne Street—repairs/replacement in -kind of wood <br />trims and gables. Photographed site and toured E. Wayne Street, no new activity. <br />Received a phone call from John (607 7072) concerning the demolition markings on 116 <br />E. South Street (owners Minette and Irvin Brown 1706 Inwood Rd. 46614 2308) in <br />Taylor's Field. No permits or COAs applied for. A man came in several months ago <br />asking to demolish the building; gave him the guidelines for Taylor's Field and application <br />stating that Social Security wanted to demolish the building for parking. Elicia and I <br />photographed site and stopped by Social Security; but Mona Luna Harter, District Manger <br />877 330 6524 was rather clueless but we gave her our contact information in case they learn <br />anything. Requested Building Department to red tag it since no permits were pulled. Drove <br />out to Riverview Cemetery to view the vandalism to George Cutter Mausoleum reported <br />by Phil Schrock. Bronze doors were removed. Currently there is a black aluminum gate <br />installed but not locked. Photographed the interior. Also photographed another that was <br />vandalized. Received confirmation that 1922 Portage was land marked. <br />28 March Followed up with Cemetery; lock is being installed along with a plexi -glass <br />panel . Verified with City Clerk's Office that 1922 Portage was landmarked. Doug Way <br />from First Source returned my call about the Clock in the Double Tree Atrium and that it <br />will be secured during the remodeling. Received COA application for 415 Parry with a <br />$40.00 check. Steve will go on Friday to return the check for one for $20.00 and <br />photograph the house for in -kind roof replacement and clapboard replacement and repair. <br />29 March Met with Troy Cadotte of Michiana 360 a website promoting South Bend. <br />Gave him copies of survey books and brochures and an invitation to Rotary luncheon to <br />net work. Staff Report for South Bend Central Apartments signage and RME for 1323 E. <br />Wayne Street North. Mark Lyons dropped off the latest variance for Cafe Navarre <br />requesting outside seating. Three options ranging from seating for 25 to 56. Meeting is on <br />April 4 1:30 for this and the awnings. <br />30 March A very rainy and miserable day. Attended the Michiana History Group <br />meeting and luncheon at Ruthmere in Elkhart. Toured the house. Turned in March's <br />fees.
