Cardenas' syllabus for his class so that I can tailor the tour for his Notre Dame <br />sociology/photography class. <br />7 September Prepared Staff Reports for Union Station and 1127 E. Wayne N. On site <br />visits for photographs and also follow up visits with Wayne at sites in Chapin Park and <br />Taylor's Field. Spoke with Kevin Lamarr James, Director of Civil Rights Heritage Center at <br />the Natatorium after his presentation at Rotary to revive their efforts to landmark the <br />Natatorium. Meeting with the Botanical Society at 6:15 on event scheduling and also the <br />City's infusion of $1,250,000. that included exterior landscaping, additional parking and the <br />Martha Lewis Memorial Garden. <br />8 September Prepared Agenda, Staff Reports, RMEs for Commissioner's packets and <br />homeowner/contractor mailings. Prepared Payroll. Spoke with Fred Helman in the River <br />Bend District about COA for re -roofing his home with DaVinci and Eco -Star for the <br />October meeting. Spoke with Donna Pangburn in 1238 E. Wayne about her proposed <br />project and referred her to architects for guidance. <br />9 September Vacation Day. Then and Now Tour at 7:00. <br />12 September National Register Staff Report on Haven Hubbard Home District. One site <br />RME- photographs at 1322 E. Wayne N.; 305 W. North Shore, 824 Park. File started for <br />Land -marking of 800 Van Buren in Walkerton. Julie Curtis with DTSB on additional tour <br />dates. Reviewed Marquette School National Register Nomination and sent comments to <br />Kurt. <br />13 September Completed Staff Report for Haven Hubbard Home District. Sent Erica <br />Warren the 30 clay Marquette School legal notice for publication in the South Bend <br />Tribune. Received final copy of Marquette Nomination from Kurt. New evening tour <br />dates set for 6:00 p.m. on 9/30 and'10/14. <br />14 September Prepared National Register notification letters to Mayor Luecke and <br />Superintendent Schmidt. Met with Phil St. Claire and Professor Andrew Schnabel about a <br />strategic plan for the Conservatories and possibly including the Director's salary in the <br />2013 City Park's budget. Worked on preparing the National Register Staff Report for <br />Marquette School. <br />15 September Completed National Register Staff Report for Marquette School. E-mail <br />correspondence with, Mike Schmuhl, interested party in local landmark at 60649 Hickory <br />Road. Referred Chris Chockley working on 803 Ashland to Sue Solmos to better position <br />the house for sale. Katelynn West, HPC Research Assistant Intern, researched and <br />determined the architects for La Salle Hotel as Nicol, Schuler and Hoffman. They also <br />designed the Mar -Main Apartments. Notified Krupali Uplekar, Brendan Crumlish and <br />Julie Curtis of this information. Began the land -marking research for 1922 Portage. <br />16 September Turned in Ambassadors for Christ Church squatter into Code and to Derek <br />Deiter. General Office work and sent out land -marking packets for 612 and 1922 Portage. <br />3 <br />
