The roof is an intersecting gambrel form with dormers. The <br />siding is wood clapboard on the first storey with cedar shingles in the second storey. A <br />friezeboard continues around the house with egg and dart molds. The front porch wraps <br />east and north with a distinctive round comer. A pedimented entry is supported by ionic <br />columns on brick piers. Window openings are 1/1 double hung on first storey and 4 pane <br />divided lite/1 on the second storey. The entry door is a glazed single leaf wood panel <br />door with cut glass glazed sidelites. <br />ALTERATIONS: none on record. <br />APPLICATION ITEMS: Broadening of existing brick path, connection to brick path on <br />adjacent property, building of carport on back side of the house. <br />'DESCRIPTION OF PROPOSED PROJECT: With the neighboring property owner, <br />Kevin Hughes, consent, the owner proposed to broaden the existing brick path at the rear <br />of the house, connecting seamlessly to the brick drive at 406 Manitou Place. To allow <br />access, a portion of the existing chain link fence will be removed. See RME#2011-1101. <br />In addition, owner proposes installing a carport in the rear over the newly expanded brick <br />parking pad. An elevation has been included with the application to further detail this <br />proposal. A clear corrugated roof is proposed to minimize the solidity of the roof and to <br />allow sunlight to continue to penetrate the existing stained glass window. <br />STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES: <br />CHAPIN PARK STANDARDS AND GUIDELINES <br />III.
