5 December Meeting with Todd Zeiger of Indiana Landmarks and Tim <br />Klusczinski concerning the Indiana Landmarks grant to the HPC for legal fees associated <br />with Marquette School. Discussed the use of Marquette for the Casaday Costume <br />Collection and its future as a public Charter School under the new Indiana law as well as its <br />future as a Montessori Intermediate School. Catherine is to get in touch with Montessori <br />Primary PTO to advance this. Organized National Register Nomination information for <br />Sons of Israel. Sent Adey letter to Larry for comments. Submitted 2012 HPC meeting <br />dates to the South Bend Tribune, Maintenance Department and Security. <br />6 December Ordered Legal Notice for Sons of Israel National Register Public Hearing <br />on 23 January. Attended County Commissioners meeting for approval of In -Line <br />Transfers. Wrote Staff Report for 113 W. North Shore and went on site to take <br />photographs. Attended 7:00p.m. County Council meeting for the approval of Out of line <br />transfers and Ordinances. <br />7 December Contacted Larry for comments/revisions on letter. HPC Stafl'is not to give <br />legal information -the information is in the Guidebooks and the homeowner is incumbent <br />to research. Continued to submit. Purchase Orders to encumber funds for December <br />postage and legal notices. Attended the Board of Zoning appeals and spoke in favor of the <br />variances for parking spaces at 1045 West Washington for the Center of Latino Studies <br />and the sign for South Bend Gold and Silver at 106 Main, JMS Building. Attended the <br />Botanical Society of South Bend's Board meeting at 5:30 p.m. and submitted the <br />Treasurer's Report and Admission Statistics for the month of November. <br />8 December Complied information for Director's Report. Gave Steve Szaday his Intern <br />Review for IUSB. Arranged for Connie Tooley and Kurt Garner to exchange information <br />on the West LaSalle Street National Register Nomination. Prepared and mailed out the <br />Letters to owners and City Officials for the Sons Of Israel National Register Nomination; <br />also worked on its Staff Report. Contacted Aaron Perri of DTSB about submitting Invoice <br />for 2012 Pride of Place and Southhold Awards. <br />9 December &mailed Heather Moriconi about the change in State law concerning under <br />utilized school buildings. She is involved with the Marquette Montessori Program's PTO <br />and there is interest in using the landmarked Marquette School as an intermediate school. <br />She responded that. she will bring this issue up at the January meeting. Included a link to <br />the State web page in the e-mail. Responded to KennyJones' of WrightPetrie request to <br />comment on 106 Review for a turbine near the Wyatt landG11 for a water treatment plant. <br />Contacted ,Jason Pfledderer about the house on Forest. He said that he had spoken with <br />John Smith of Code concerning this and responded to the one issue that Code was <br />concerned about. Prepared and mailed out Commissioners' packets. <br />12 December Attended and participated in the NICH Finance Committee meeting <br />setting up the 2012 budget for the museum and Oliver Mansion. Attended and <br />participated in the Groundbreaking and Press Conference for the improvements at the <br />Conservatories. Researched Ethan Allen Reynolds for IJVic Kirkwood. Bendix Woods <br />Park has a memorial trough dedicated to his memory and Parks would like to get rid of it. <br />
