Director's Report August 2011 18 July Participated in the Finance Committee meeting at the Northern Indiana Center for History. Discussed the Kizer House situation. Prepared for the HPC meeting. Sent website information to Pam De Cola a resident on East Wayne Street for possible -- A application. -- Reviewed Hubbard Haven House National Register nomination. Researched Coquillard Park and sent info to Matt Moyers in the Parks Department. 19 July Created and mailed out all approved COAs. Called Jason Springs (617 233 2765) Chapin Park resident that Stall can approve in -kind asphalt roof replacement. Spoke with Gary Stafford of Conor Company who offered his services on window and door restoration. Conor did the work on the Indiana Landmarks Building and the US Court House. 20 July Spoke with Susan Toumey (235 9396) of Teen Shelter, Sale Station located at 1322 Lincolnway East. Emailed her die link for the Lincolnway Standards ( susaiitouriiev @sl)c- ) because the State has money for the Shelter to repair a flat roof and wants to side the house. Will arnuige an on site inspection with Preservation Specialists and Assistant Director at her convenience. Her contact person in Indy for this project is Eric Curtis (317 234 7559). 21 July Contacted Barbara Brook (232 8334 BZBrook @valioo.com) about the in- kind patio work she is proposing. Spoke with Bob Geans, Jr. and he did verify that it was in kind. Trying to arrange backyard photos for RME. Met with Davc Mesecar, 834 Park concerning his Coa application. Staff will need to go out and document house and proposed bay window. Followed up with Susan Tourney left message to make sure she received my e mail. No follow up. Submitted 2012 Budget to Teresa Shuter. E mailed Glory June Greif about upcoming 106 Review for Northside Trail in River Park with SHPO on Tuesday for Carl Littrell. 22 July Met with John Charles at Office, he is concerned about the state of City Cemetery and wanted to know if HPC could contact the Boy Scouts about keeping the Cemetery neat and tidy as a Service Project. Gave him Pat Bridges' contact information at the LaSalle Council and sent Pat and c -mail. On sight visit to 1402 E. Wayne for COA in- kind replacement of concrete patio. Drove to 1605 E. Wayne and observed that die new roof was in place and looked good. Drove by 304 Twyckenham to see if work had started on the two approved projects, but it had not. E- mailed responses to Glory June Greif and sent tier information to Carl wide more information to come after she visits the area this weekend.
