6 October On site photographic visits to 302 Sunnyside, 1733 E. Wayne, 406 Manitou, 735 Forest, 841 Park Avenue and 632 Portage. Completed Staff Reports for HPC and began meeting packets for Commissioners. Spoke with Carl Brunson about restoring 655 River in Edgewater Place. 6:30 Meeting with residents of the East Wayne Street District at Sunnyside Presbyterian Church. 7 October Office closed because of downtown gas leak. 8 October Completed and Mailed Commissioners' packets and homeowners' Staff Reports and Agendas. Researched information on South Bend Commercial College for Mr. Vernon's phone inquiry. Submitted payroll. Met with Common Councilman Rev. Rouse and Lee Byers in the Office about the Rushton Apartment Building. Mr. Byers has an affiliation with the Salvation Army and is interested in the building as a project that would also dovetail into programs at the Kroc Center. Provided him with information on the building, the Secretary of the Interior Standards and contact information for Todd Zeiger, Indiana Landmarks. 11 October On sight 106 Review work on Ewing Street between Michigan and Meade and the Rum Village Park for planned Ewing Street work. Researched 66401 Walnut Road for Area Plan. 12 October Completed a 106 Review for the County and one for the City. Met with owner of 230 Hammond Place about the proposed re -roof of house; added to the 18 October Agenda. Met with Gary Hershberger concerning proposed repair of chimney at 310 La Monte Terrace. Attended County Council meeting and presented out -of -line transfers to cover gas and other contractual services to year end. Ordinance was approved 9-0. 13 October On-site inspection and photographs of 310 LaMonte Terrace and 230 Hammond Place. Composed Staff Report for 230 Hammond and e-mailed to Commissioner along with new Agenda. Issued RM&COA for 310 LaMonte. Posted Agendas. Researched 66401 Walnut Road Land Mark for Area Plan. Completed 17 106 Reviews for the City. 14 October Composed Memo on 66401 Walnut Road for Area Plan and submitted memo to Office and to Palm & Associates of New Carlisle. Completed 4 106 Reviews for the City. Contacted Jay Tidmarsh about his tree COA for 938 Riverside needing the Arborist report. 15 October Met with Paul Kline concerning the status of the Conservatories. Issued two RME COAs for South Bend Community Schools for Monroe School 2 tree removals per arborist and Jefferson School in kind repairs/replacement on front steps and north steps and porch after meeting with Michael Szymanski of Building Services. Referred a couple to New Carlisle for genealogy information at Old Republic with Dana Groves.
