Directors Report <br />November, 2010 <br />18 October Attended and participated in the Finance Committee Meeting for the <br />Northern Indiana Center for History Board of Directors. Spoke with Morgan Le Fleur <br />about the porch repair work on 803 W. Washington. Prepared for Monthly Meeting. <br />Completed Eight 106 Reviews. Attended HPC meeting. <br />19 October Prepared and mailed all approved COAs for homeowners. Prepared and <br />e-mailed first draft of meeting minutes to Commissioners. Advised homeowner at 503 <br />Lafayette concerning new fence proposal and referred her to the appropriate departments <br />for information. <br />20 October Attended the Dedication Ceremony for Monroe School. Spoke with Mike <br />Szymanski concerning arborist report on tree removal at that sight. Met with Mr. Gilbert <br />and the Building Department about a change of contractors for Bartlett House shingle <br />repair. Corrected minutes and e-mailed second draft to Commissioners. Completed ten <br />106 Reviews. Advised homeowner at 503 N. Lafayette on COA deadline for November's <br />HPC meeting and information that would be needed. Met with Sue Solmos from <br />Community and Economic Development concerning developments with the La Salle <br />Hotel and the re -development of the "Wharf Site". Spoke with John Freidline about the <br />in-kind work on 803 W. Washington and the anticipated repairs and re -pointing of the <br />stone work with mortar to match by Jim Burkey; replacing the curved plexi -glass in the <br />turret windows with new plexi -glass and restoring the storm windows. <br />21 October Sent Programmatic Agreement and the form letter for consenting parties to <br />Cheryl Phipps, Jeff Gibney's AA; followed up with Jeff that this info was coming his way. <br />Attended luncheon with Jeff Rae CEO of the Chamber of Commerce as guest speaker. <br />RME_COA for 610 N. Main for in-kind awning -sign replacement. Spoke with Rick in <br />Engineering about the replacement red awnings at the Vine in the Morris and Palais <br />complex; confirmed that in-kind repairs and replacements could be Staff Approved. <br />Attended BSSB meeting at 5:30 at the Conservatories. <br />22 October Attended the Traditional Building Expo in Chicago. <br />25 October Followed up with Rebecca Rouch about land -marking the round barn on <br />69490 Juniper Road. Consented to be a Consulting Party for Granger Paths Project <br />because of the landmark at 13271 Adams Road <br />26 October Met with Rev. Roush on the Rushton Building Ann Puzzello on the <br />historic locations of St. Joseph Church on Hill Street. Tornado Warnings in the morning. <br />Completed four 106 Reviews. Meeting with Parks Department at the Conservatories <br />concerning the energy issues at the Park's complex and the Conservatories. The good news <br />is that there is a commitment by the City to put in $75,000.00 worth of new heaters and <br />proceed with Phase II -the addition to the building and the removal of the growing houses. <br />
