Director's Report <br />March, 2010 <br />24 February Sent Ann Puzzello, Common Council, letter on the <br />brick/concrete segment of E. Colfax; sent Theron Roberts website information <br />on Murco of Chicago; Registered for the Preservation Conference in New <br />Harmony April 7-9. <br />25 February Submitted office payroll. Attended Lunch and Learn <br />Series. Began incorporating the archived information into the Office files by <br />address... <br />26 February Submitted Fees for February to Treasurer's Office. <br />Continued the reorganization of the Office files. <br />1 March Accepted COA for 1216 East Wayne Street and began to <br />prepare Commissioner's packet information. <br />3 March Met with Brandon Bartow of Bartow Builders (32 Albert Drive, <br />Manitowoc WI 54220). Stonemor Indiana, LLC (155 Rittenhouse Circle, <br />Bristol, PA 19007) hired his company to renovate the Gatehouse into an <br />Office at Riverview Cemetery. This would also include exterior work on the <br />roof, windows, masonry wall and foundation. Advised Mr. Bartow of the COA <br />requirements and gave copy of Landmark Standards. Onsite visits to 1216 E. <br />Wayne for photographs and to 1716 E. Wayne for roof application without <br />COA or building permit. Attended and participated in meeting with Phil St. <br />Claire, Mike Dyszkiewicz, Greg Kil and Jennifer, Tom Cook, Andrew <br />Schnabel and Heidi Gray about the expenditures out of the City's Capital <br />Budget for the Conservatories, estimated at between $250,000-$400,000. for <br />Level I improvements: new heating system alternatives and the demolition <br />of the obsolete growing houses construction of new side entrance with <br />parking. Discussion with Jay Vendervene of IUSB concerning working with <br />him to provide resources for an Archeological Program for his students. <br />4 March On site visit with Butch Bender concerning the position for the <br />utility box at the intersection of Lafayette and West North Shore approved by <br />the Commission. On site visit with Wayne Doolittle of 1716 E. Wayne to <br />photograph house for COA. Attended Lunch and Learn series at the St. <br />Joseph County Library. On site visit to 61191 US 31 South to photograph site <br />for COA. <br />
