Director's Report <br />January, 2010 <br />December 22 Added Amendment 9.5 to the By -Laws and sent revised copy to <br />Commissioners .via e-mail; completed approved COA forms and mailed to homeowners; <br />contacted Maintenance, Housekeeping and Public Works with 2010 meeting schedule and <br />that HPC will use Conference Room 1308; contacted David Fazio with change request to <br />COA in Permit System to include Routine Maintenance Exclusion option <br />December 23 E-mailed legal counsel concerning 2010 Preservation Specialist contract; Staff <br />given tour of Copshaholm, Dom Robotnika and the Lincoln Exhibit by David Bainbridge <br />December 24-25 Office Closed <br />December 28-29 Began reorganizing the Land -mark files into the new lateral file; began <br />preparing year end reports and statistics to be used in CLG Reports and reports to the City <br />and County <br />December 30 Submitted year end payroll, purchase orders and fees; compiled information <br />from files for inquiry for potential purchaser of 701 Pennsylvania, on-site visit to Ryan <br />Dvorak's newly finished exterior and porch restoration, drove through Riverside and turned <br />1001 Hudson into the building department for work without permit. <br />December 31 E-mailed Marco Mariani and Stan Molenda for additional information on <br />interior of 701 Pennsylvania; submitted draft of December HPC minutes and amended By.- <br />Laws <br />y-Laws to Mayor's Office and City Clerk <br />January 1 Office Closed <br />January 4 _ Began the reorganization of the Office files. <br />January 5 Completed the Commission Data Project for the National Alliance of <br />Preservation Commissions; continued with the reorganization of the Office files; 2009 year <br />and budget reconciliation with Auditor's Office. Contacted David Steinhauser concerning <br />supplying resume for Commissioners if he was still considering selection as Architectural <br />'Historian. <br />January 6 The death of Martha Lewis left me the only Officer of the BSSB with check <br />writing capabilities to pay Conservatory Director; met with Ann Puzzello concerning <br />Conservatories and Marquette School as a future Montessori Intermediate Center creating a <br />Marquette Montessori campus from pre-school through grade 8; spoke with Phil St. Claire <br />and coordinated responses for anticipated questions; met with various community leaders <br />and state and national political liaisons concerning BSSB activities after Martha's death; <br />conducted meeting of BSSB with Heidi Gray and Greg Leyes to secure BSSB property at <br />Martha Lewis' residence and to secure the Conservatories against the coming cold and snow. <br />Met with William Coleman, an independent architect, who had expressed an interest in the <br />Architectural Historian position in the past and is still considering it. <br />
