Directors Report <br />September, 2009 <br />August 17 Finalized HPC materials/strategy for the Budget hearing at the County <br />Council/Auditor/Commissioners Committee hearing at 7:45 17 August. Sent local <br />la-ndm—ark information t -o -Betsy Lauber' <br />August 18 Worked with homeowner of 1041 Riverside via 'e-mail on sources for <br />information needed for a complete COA application before deadline of September <br />HPC meeting. <br />August 19 Continued working with Lauber family members referring them to <br />National Trust personnel for legal assistance as local legal assistance unavailable. <br />Began research on the HPC inventory in Archives not on the Retention Schedule to <br />be listed on the PR -1 Form. Posted notices and notified Tribune of Special Meeting <br />on 21 August. <br />August 20 Finalized staff report for 1327 E. Wayne; began preparing draft on 309 - <br />311 Marion for BZA ; attended Sell South Bend Reception at NICH sponsored by Sue <br />Solmos, residential marketing specialist, Division of Community Development. <br />August 21 Attended Special Meeting of the HPC for changes to COA for 1327 E. <br />Wayne Street. Followed up with additional information to Chris and Martha Lauber <br />concerning land -marking of farm. Prepared HPC Office response on 309 and 311 <br />Marion Street for submission to Christa Nayder for BZA 2 September meeting. Sent <br />a copy of Assistant Director job description to all three County Commissioners, Patty <br />Godsey, Administrative Assistant to Commissioners and Queenie Evans, St. Joseph <br />County H.R. requesting that the job be posted because of specialized degree <br />requirements. <br />August 24 Sent Nancy Ickler the Contractor's List and the link to Hope's <br />Windows for restoration or replacement of bathroom casement window in E. Wayne <br />Street LHD. <br />Prepared draft of Preservation Specialist COA Inspection form, sent summary of <br />Special Meeting to Commissioners. <br />August 25 Spoke with Elizabeth Merritt at the National Trust about the local <br />land -marking of the Lauber farm; collateral impact of proposed Auten connector and <br />Adams Road interchange and the "Tiger" grant for part of the project. On-site <br />inspection at 611 Edgewater for tear off of shingles for the lead abatement program. <br />
