Assistant Director's Report <br />HPC Meeting 11.16.2009 <br />1. Goals <br />—Met with Catherine H. to discuss feasibility of goals. Met with Wayne D. <br />to discuss goals that require his input. <br />2. Green Ribbon Commission <br />Develop and add HPC input regarding embodied energy and respect for <br />traditional building to the final draft of the Energy Efficiency and <br />Conservation Strategy to be submitted to American Structurepoint. <br />Discussion with Commissioner Todd Z,eiger on the feasibility of S. <br />Michigan (Fat Daddy Block) as a potential building for energy retrofitting. <br />Discussed other possible City buildings as well. <br />—Email Land Use/Green Building committee to request the Master Energy <br />Audit as compiled by Notre Dame students. <br />3. City Cemetery National Register Nomination <br />Long discussion with Amy Walker of Dl-1PA. She sent a long <br />explanation email as well. Basically, the nomination is not as far along as <br />it seemed... We need to expand the Statement of Significance, which is <br />currently based on Schuyler Colfax, to include more Architecture, <br />Landscape Architecture, and Social History. More photos, more maps, <br />compare to other cemeteries. <br />—Downloaded appropriate NRN forms. Began transferring data from <br />previously submitted document. <br />Visited other cemeteries, took photographs and made observations. <br />4. Continue reviewing/organizing all computer files on Assistant Directors <br />computer (and shared files). Completed. <br />5. Fall/ Winter Newsletter <br />—Began ternplate for a new branded look. <br />Building email listsery from multiple sources <br />Developing reoccurring segments and begin details of those segi-nerrts. <br />Contact HPC members for interviews. <br />6. Continue reviewing 2009 Historic Preservation Commission Meetings. <br />Completed. <br />Print mailing list and labels for liaison ballots for Edgewater. Stuff envelopes. <br />And again, print mailing list and labels, stuff envelopes. <br />8. Two on-site visits with Wayne D. and Catherine 11. for CofA photographs. <br />0 See Back Page »» <br />
