TREASURER'S REPORT <br />Received. <br />President Klusczinski made a motion to nominate Jerry Niezgodski to be the HPC <br />treasurer. Director's Report -Distributed <br />There was a lengthy conversation regarding the Botanical Society of South Bend, the <br />Sons of Israel synagogue National Register nomination, the Conservatories, <br />recommendations provided to Krupali Uplekar for her next ND Arch class, and the <br />National Register nomination for Marquette school. <br />4. AD Report -Distributed <br />5. Legal Counsel <br />Counsel presented a resolution that is still a work in progress regarding changes to <br />staff procedures and future consideration of C of A applications. All Commission <br />members were given a copy. Additional editing is possible,- and required <br />readings/public hearings to follow on August 17, 2009. <br />D. COMMITTEE REPORTS <br />President's Report <br />06/16: "A Synagogue Speaks" Wiekamp Auditorium, Northern Indiana Center for <br />History. Attended presentation by Robert Nevel on the probable origin of the Sons of <br />Israel Congregation Synagogue. <br />06/23: HPC Special Meeting at the request of John Arndt and Ken Hebard (Hebard and <br />Hebard Architects) over the Monroe School Project. The HPC was provided color <br />samples (resulting from a previous paint analysis). Commission agreed to color match <br />best resembling the original charcoal trim color. Current replacement window profiles <br />and slate color were also discussed. Hebard and Hebard will provide architectural <br />renderings of the window units and will mock up a demo board for artificial slate color. <br />13 <br />
