The Commissioners reviewed and discussed with the homeowner and the
architect the drawings of the proposed revisions to COA 2009 -0601B approved at
the June 15, 2009 meeting.
On a motion by Todd Zeiger with a second by Linda Riley the revisions to the
rear roof and the exchange of the existing door for a window on the second
storey were unanimously approved.
Background: On August 17th, 2009, Catherine Hostetler read a request,
submitted by the property owner of 1041 Riverside Drive, asking for a
special meeting to review a pending COA. After reviewing the details of the
that request, the Commission ruled that there were insufficient grounds to
call a meeting simply because an applicant missed the filing deadline.
However, the Commission did agree to add that application to a Special
Meeting that might occur before September 21st, 2009. Catherine Hostetler
provided a brief update for the Commission and listed the project documents
that the applicant must file before the COA could be reviewed and heard. As
such, the COA application was currently "incomplete ". Updates would be
provided. The property owner was not present to answer questions.
There was a discussion on the restoration of the porch at 947 Riverside. The
COA 2009 -0504A approved the installation of columns. These columns were not
used as the original fabric of the porch columns were basically intact. It was
determined that the Staff should have alerted the Commission in the staff report.
It was suggested that the Preservation Specialist have a form to document the
inspections of projects.
The meeting adjourned at approximately 12:20.
ATT :
inda Riley,
4
