JOSEPH COUNTY <br />November 17, 2008 <br />13th Floor Conference Room <br />County City Building <br />South Bend, IN 46601 <br />Members Present: Jerry Niezgodski, David Sassano, Timothy Klusczinski, <br />Mary Jane Chase, Todd Zeiger, Linda Riley <br />Staff Present: Larry Meteiver, Attorney; Catherine Hostetler, Director <br />Absent: Lynn Patrick, Vice President and Amy Minnick <br />Also Present: John Strauss, Nelson Martin, Mary Martin, Ken and Richard <br />Hebard, Carolyn Sherman, Ed Hill (Pro Roofing & Construction), Laura <br />Mallozzi, John Arndt <br />The meeting was called to order by President Klusczinski at 7:00 p.m. <br />PUBLIC HEARING: <br />STAFF REPORT <br />CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS <br />Date: November 5. 2008 <br />Application Number: 2008-1030 <br />Property Location: , 611 Edgewater <br />Architectural Style/Date/Architect or Builder: Colonial Revival/1924/Whitcomb & <br />Keller <br />Property Owner: Laura Mallozzi <br />Landmark or District Designation: Edgewater Place L.H.D. <br />Rating: Contributing <br />DESCRIPTION OF STRUCTURE/ SITE: 611 Edgewater is a two storey Colonial <br />Revival home with a rectangular floor plan set on a brick foundation. The walls are <br />wood shingles and the gabled roof has asphalt shingles. There is an enclosed front porch <br />with narrow single pane windows; the windows on the house are double hung with <br />aluminum storms windows. <br />ALTERATIONS: The front porch was enclosed with a bank of windows above the <br />knee wall. There are replacement storm windows. A new front storm door, replacement <br />gutters and foundation re -pointing were approved by the Commission in February, 2004. <br />
