A hardcopy report will document final inspection. • 7/28 — Investigated asphalt street patch at Lower Lamonte Terrace. Informed, by copy (Dir. Public Works) that the street department will redress the fissure using approved district repair methods and brick pavers. I was also informed about a newly built bench accessory at 857 Forest Avenue. Details were forwarded to staff. • 07/30 —Attended the Preserve America Information Session, presented by Amy Herdman (Dickinson Conference Room Main Library South Bend). Representatives from County and City government agencies were invited to this overview of the Preserve America Community designation and the grant opportunities available. Well done. Amy encouraged the collaboration of local government agencies. The HPC could act as point. • 8/05 — Attend Monroe School Construction Update (Hebard & Hebard Offices). Saw preliminary design plans for Monroe Primary. Short discussion on fagade development, the design of the new addition, roof materials and windows. • 8/09 — Volunteer at the West Washington Historic District Yard Sale; Monitor the sale of County and City Survey Books and "Preservation Nuts" and Public Relations. This celebration enters its 29`" year. Paul Hayden and HLFI were the principle planners in this revitalized community event — furthering an appreciation for history, community, the outdoors and architecture.
