NEW BUSINESS (CONT.) <br />a. continued.... <br />take place in the next month or so for <br />people who have already made pledges. <br />There will also be a year -end billing. <br />Duke Jones stated that he is confident in <br />saying that they will have more than $2 <br />million in the bank by the time <br />construction starts at the end of 1997. <br />Mack Richardson, Executive Director of <br />South Bend Symphony stated that the <br />Morris has incredible potential and he <br />looks forward to the renovations. <br />Mr. Hunt asked if there was anyone else PUBLIC HEARING ON RESOLUTION NO. 1507 <br />who wished to speak regarding <br />Resolution No. 1507. No one else wished <br />to speak regarding Resolution No. 1507. <br />Mr. Hunt closed the Public Hearing for <br />whatever action the Commission wished <br />to take. <br />Ms. Auburn asked Greg Gizci if he will <br />be able to bring larger shows to the <br />Morris Performing Arts Center once the <br />renovations are completed. Greg Gizci <br />stated that the renovations and the stage <br />enlargement will allow larger shows to <br />perform at the Morris. <br />Ms. Schwartz asked Brian Hedman if he <br />believes that the Century Center <br />management can maintain and staff the <br />Morris Performing Arts Center with its <br />operating budget after its completion. <br />Brian Hedman stated that he felt they <br />could, it would mean that management <br />H:\ HOME\ CPHWPS \WPDATA \COMMSN\060697.MIN -10- <br />
