South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting -May 16, 1997 <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Auburn, seconded COMMISSION APPROVED THE CLAIMS SUBMITTED <br />by Ms. Schwartz and unanimously carried, MAY 16, 1997 AND ORDERED THE CHECKS TO BE <br />the Commission approved the Claims RELEASED <br />submitted May 16, 1997 and ordered the <br />checks to be released. <br />4. COMMUNICATIONS <br />There were no Communications. <br />5. OLD BUSINESS <br />There was no Old Business. <br />Ms. Kolata asked permission to add two items <br />to the agenda. There were no objections and <br />items 6.i. and 6.j. were added to the agenda. <br />6. NEW BUSINESS <br />a. Commission approval requested for <br />Resolution No. 1508 approving an <br />application for real property tax <br />deduction for property located at the <br />northeast corner of Chapin Street and <br />Western Avenue in the West <br />Washington- Chapin Development Area. <br />(South Bend Heritage Foundation and <br />Baugo Creek Realty) <br />Mike Beitzinger gave the staff report. <br />This project involves the construction of a <br />new 25, 325 square foot building on <br />approximately 2.92 acres on the northeast <br />corner of Chapin Street and Western <br />Avenue. The building will house a <br />grocery store (Sav -A -Lot) and the Chapin <br />Clinic.
