Commission approval requested for <br />proposal from Peirce and Associates for <br />engineering services in the Sample Ewing <br />Development Area. <br />Ms. Kolata noted that this work is related to <br />the sidewalk and curb improvements that <br />will be done on South Michigan and Indiana <br />Streets. This work is being funded by <br />$178,000 of Community Development <br />Block Grant and $50,000 of TIF for a total <br />of $228,000. She noted that Peirce and <br />Associates has submitted a proposal for <br />survey and engineering work in the amount <br />of $7,450. This amount has been reviewed <br />with the City of South Bend Engineering <br />Department and they recommended <br />accepting the proposal. The staff also <br />recommends accepting the proposal. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Schwartz, seconded <br />by Mr. Faccenda and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission approved the proposal from <br />Peirce and Associates for engineering <br />services in the Sample Ewing Development <br />Area. <br />E Commission approval requested for <br />proposal from Heptagon for professional <br />services in the Airport Economic <br />Development Area. <br />Ms. Kolata asked permission to table item <br />61 There were no objections and item 6.f. <br />H:\ HOME\CPHWPS \WPDATA \COMMSN\051697.WN -18- <br />ITEM 6.D.
