South Bend Redevelopment Commission <br />Regular Meeting - May 2, 1997 <br />6. NEW BUSINESS (Cont.) <br />o. continued.... <br />Brady in the amount of $7,960. The other <br />from Lang, Feeney & Associates, Inc. in <br />the amount of $5,840. The last proposal <br />from Pierce & Associates is in the <br />amount of $9,000. The staff recommends <br />hiring Lang, Feeney & Associates. <br />Upon a motion by Mr. Faccenda, <br />seconded by Ms. Auburn and <br />unanimously carried, the Commission <br />approved the proposal from Lang, Feeney <br />& Associates, Inc. for survey work in the <br />Sample Ewing Development Area. <br />p. Commission approval requested for <br />proposal from Arsee Engineers, Inc. <br />for a condition survey of the State <br />Theatre facade. <br />Ms. Kolata noted that currently James E. <br />Childs & Associates is doing <br />construction specifications for repair of <br />the State Theatre facade. An architect at <br />James E. Childs & Associates <br />recommended hiring an outside firm that <br />uses fiber optics to go in behind some of <br />the terra cotta to look at the condition of <br />the brackets holding it on. Using the <br />fiber optics and engineering study could <br />give a better evaluation of which pieces <br />need work and which ones are in proper <br />condition. <br />Upon a motion by Ms. Auburn, seconded <br />by Mr. Donoho and unanimously carried, <br />the Commission approved the proposal <br />ce -26- <br />COMMISSION APPROVED THE PROPOSAL FROM <br />LANG, FEENEY & ASSOCIATES, INC.
