PUBLIC HEARING <br />A. CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS <br />1. 2005-1012; 1111 Riverside Drive <br />CATHERINE HOSTETLER: (See staff report, proposed work description, window <br />advertisement, and black and white photos of property attached to C of A in HPC <br />meeting binder). Catherine also passed out the original colored photographs she had of <br />the property for commission members to look over. (Homeowners, Brenda Knowles and - <br />Paul Kochanowski, were present). The homeowners also passed out a written copy <br />explaining their reasons and opinions for having the proposed work done on their <br />property for commission members to look over. <br />DIANE WROBEL-ILLES: Have you explored areas for replacement windows that <br />better match the original window's frame size? <br />PAUL KOCHANOWSKI: We just looked at windows that we thought were the most <br />efficient. We looked at some wood windows that really didn't have the energy savings <br />and would not have been easy for us to clean. We picked what was considered high end <br />replacement windows. We also looked around the neighborhood to see what other kinds <br />of windows were being used. <br />The staff did give us information; however, we feel this information is outdated and <br />goes back to the mid to late 1990's. It states things that are certainly not true anymore. It <br />states that the seals will break in seven and a half years and the windows are going to <br />
