CALLED MEETING TO ORDER <br />LYNN PATRICK: Called the meeting to order at 7:33 pm. <br />II. PUBLIC HEARING <br />A. CERTIFICATE OF APPROPRIATENESS <br />1. 2005-0825A; 517 Carroll Street <br />CATHERINE HOSTETLER: (See staff report, pictures, and siding brochure attached <br />to C of A in HPC meeting binder). The homeowner, Mr. Kent Anderson, was present <br />and so was his contractor, Mr. Phil Pavey, from P & R Construction. <br />PHIL PAVEY: (See application requirements on reverse side of application along with <br />proposed work description attached to C of A in HPC meeting binder. <br />MARY JANE CHASE: If the contractor puts Styrofoam insulation over the clapboards <br />and under the vinyl siding, will this end up trapping moisture; because, if it does, then it <br />would rot the original wood siding on the house. <br />TODD ZIEGLER: Do you plan to install gutters and downspouts on the house? <br />KENT ANDERSON: I already have gutters and downspouts for the house stored in my <br />garage and I plan to have them reinstalled once the siding is done. <br />LYNN PATRICK: Have you or your contractor removed any of the aluminum siding to <br />see what condition the original wood siding is in? What is the cost going to be for this <br />project? <br />KENT ANDERSON: The siding underneath isn't in good shape. There is a part in the <br />back that was damaged by trees. When we pulled the aluminum siding off it was rotten, <br />in bad shape. <br />PHIL PAVEY: The cost for the project is going to be $7,000.00 dollars. <br />
