ti JOANN SPORLEDER: Is the attic insulated on the roof and the floor? Is the roof ventilated? How do you plan to maintain the original window trim on the house when he installs the new vinyl siding? PHIL PAVEY: We plan to build the window frames out with 1" by 4"s, so the window frame will not be under the vinyl siding. TODD ZEIGER: Typically aluminum siding was installed with furring strips. Even with the 1/4" fan wrap, I'm not convinced you will need to build out the window frames with the 1 by 4s. LYNN PATRICK: I will make a motion that the eight -inch aluminum siding be removed and replaced with four -inch vinyl siding with the staff recommendations that the wide decorative wooden fascia boards should not be covered; original doors and trim and windows and trim are to be maintained; and any original trim uncovered when the aluminum siding is removed is to be retained. Wayne Doolittle, HPC Inspector, will also make regular visits to the work site to check and make sure that the work is being done correctly as specified by the commission. The homeowners and their contractor have asked that this be tabled until they have completed their plans. MARY JANE CHASE: I will make a motion that this C of A be tabled. LANDMARK 1. 16977 Adams Landmark 1880 Barn 9/13 First Reading County Council Tim Janowiak informed the commission that he recently had a meeting with Mr. Sieradzki. At their meeting Mr. Sieradzki said that he would be willing to save the barn, but would not be willing to save the farmhouse. Catherine Hostetler said that there will be a County Council Committee meeting this Wednesday at 5:30 pm. 2.
