8 are enthusiastic general statement about historic districts, which is fine for a Historic
Pres. Commission grant, but the information in the abovementioned paragraphs don't
really advance the purpose of the Chapin Park District document. How about putting it in
a book about the history of the area, instead?
APPENDIX C
CHAPIN PARK LOCAL HISTORIC DISTRICT STREET LIGHTING
"Thereafter, should a lamp fixture require removal... similar design..." Historic Landmark, [comma added] or when other "old style'..."
...Preservation Districts, [comma added]...
APPENDIX D
HISTORIC DISTRICT LIAISON COMMITTEE
1. This states "three people," whereas Part V, Par. E states 5 people.
3. Change "How long must r' to "How long must one serve..."
4. "...that may occur on
District property and work with property owners toward a solution to the problem(s).
"Them," in the original has an unclear precedent.
4. b. "Disseminate pertinent information to the district property owners through whatever
means available, such as a neighborhood newsletter, flyer, etc."
This sounds as if one might open the Chapin Park newsletter and read that Mr. & Mrs.
Jones have a thorn bush that is too close to the sidewalk. Can this paragraph specify that
only general information would be "disseminated?"
5. Not a sentence. A possible change: "Have at least one representative of the
committee attend..."
