permitted..."
Images:
The single form of "criteria" is "criterion." "...a mandatory criterion,
that [replace "which" new buildings be constructed..."
The captions are not consistent. Some are phrases, some sentences.
Perhaps colons, instead of dashes, would help.
Rhythm of solids to voids in front fagade: "Rhythm is (not "being")
an ordered recurrent alternation... "
B. BUILDING MATERIALS
"Wall materials in the district include brick, stucco, wood..."
[You can't "range from" something to nothing. There's no other half to the
statement.]
Recommended
"...is the only feasible or economically acceptable alternative for the
homeowner.
C. SHEDS AND ACCESSORY BUILDINGS
Required
...doghouses, playhouses, outdoor sculpture, children's play equipment...
preserving historical relationships..." "Proportions and materials shall
conform to those required for new construction."
Q: Why should children's play equipment and doghouses, situated at the rear
of a residence and out of sight except from adjacent backyards, have to
conform with any particular style? Why should anyone care where a person's
sandbox or slide is located? This doesn't seem reasonable. If you live in a
stucco home, must the playhouse and doghouse be encased in stucco??
Recommended
"...and mood with [not "to] the residence..."
SAFETY AND BUILDING CODES
A. BUILDING CODE REQUIREMENTS
Prohibited
"...that would alter important exterior [word added] architectural features
and spaces seen from the streets [words added] is prohibited."
IV. GENERAL
D. "The committee's responsibility will be to work with the residents...'
Q: In what way? It is hoped that the committee will be there for us to
consult, not to offer advice when not invited to do so.
V. ENFORCEMENT PROCEDURES
